Climate Education had a mission worth championing, empowering schools to lead sustainability change in their communities. But their brand and digital presence weren’t doing it justice. The website failed to communicate their purpose clearly, the branding lacked the energy needed to engage both teachers and children, and they needed a new tracking system that didn’t yet exist, where teachers could log achievements and monitor progress throughout the year.
The Challenge
The Approach
I led the full rebranding, repositioning Climate Education as a fun, empowering, and approachable organisation, because when your audience is schools, dry and corporate simply doesn’t work. The new visual identity was built around simple, creative shapes that gave the brand flexibility, making future social posts and printed materials easy and enjoyable to produce, even for an in-house team without deep design resources.
Alongside the rebrand, I redesigned the website with a sharper focus on customer journey, ensuring it was intuitive for both teachers navigating the platform and children interacting with the content. I also designed the full UX/UI system for the new progress-tracking tool, deciding on its complexity, functionality, and visual language, then handing it off to the in-house development team ready to build.
The Outcome
The rebrand launched successfully and on schedule. Website traffic doubled, driven by stronger CTAs and a clearer communication of their mission. Schools responded positively across the board, and the marketing team found themselves running faster and more confidently with a visual system that was built to be used, not just admired. The new brand gave Climate Education the presence their work had always deserved.
